Create a private oasis on your property

A privacy fence is a type of fencing that is designed to provide privacy and security to a property. At Magnolia Fence & Patio, we typically construct privacy fences using solid materials (such as wood, vinyl, or metal), which obstruct the view from outside. Privacy fences are typically taller than other types of fences, ranging from 4 to 8 feet or even higher, depending on your desired level of privacy. It’s worth noting that local building codes and neighborhood association regulations may impose restrictions on the height, materials, or design of privacy fences. Therefore, it’s important to check the rules and obtain any necessary permits before installing a privacy fence on your property.

The main purpose of a privacy fence is to create a barrier that prevents outsiders from seeing into the property, thereby protecting the privacy of the occupants. These fences are commonly used in residential areas to separate neighboring properties, block the view of passersby, and create a secluded outdoor space. They can also help reduce noise and act as a windbreak, making them ideal for Texas homes located in busy or windy areas. Our privacy fences are usually built with wood or vinyl and are offered in a variety of configurations, so you can pick the perfect fence to match your property’s needs and aesthetic. For example, the PostMaster+ system upgrades your average wood privacy fence by adding hidden metal posts, creating a fence that can both stand up to Texas’s storms and wind and still be a beautiful addition to your property.

Wood Privacy Fence Installation

Naturally Low-Maintenance Fence

When it comes to creating a private and inviting backyard oasis, nothing beats the timeless charm of wood privacy fences. When choosing wood for your fence, you have several options, including Western Red Cedar, Spruce/Pine, and Treated Spruce. Western Red Cedar stands out for its superior natural resistance to decay, moisture, insects, warping, and splitting. Its enduring beauty, enhanced by appealing colors and grain patterns, sets it apart.

We take pride in being one of the few fence companies in the DFW area capable of offering pre-stained wood fence installation, saving you valuable time. With our state-of-the-art facilities, there’s no need to wait for weeks as we have the boards pre-stained, ensuring a seamless process from start to finish. Our pre-staining procedure involves using a calibrated machine, guaranteeing a flawless 100 percent coverage for a stunning, uniform look that matches the aesthetic of your property.

Magnolia Fence & Patio also offers the beautiful and revolutionary PostMaster+ fence system. The PostMaster+ system provides a hidden, durable steel post structure that strengthens your fence and gives you the best return on your investment. PostMaster+ fences are built to last and come with a Limited Lifetime Warranty. This innovative framework can be configured to withstand storm-force winds up to 73mph, heavy rain, and extreme temperature changes without losing performance.

Wood fences not only offer exceptional privacy but also blend seamlessly with any landscape, enhancing the overall aesthetics of your property. With proper treatment and care, wood fences can last for decades, standing up to North Texas weather conditions while providing a warm and inviting atmosphere.

Frequently Asked Questions

The cost of a fence depends upon several factors. The main determining factors consist of what type of fence material is selected, the style of fence being built, what type and how many gates are installed, and, of course, how many linear feet of fence is required. (Linear footage is calculated by measuring the perimeter of the area that the fence will be built on.) For privacy fences, wood is the most economical material choice.

New clients are typically charged a $250 deposit. Permit application fees may also be charged at time of approval. In the event the city does not approve the necessary permits, your $250 deposit will be refunded, but the permit fee is non-refundable. Projects with specific materials may have a different deposit amount. Any deposit made will be taken off your final invoice upon your satisfaction of the project.

Once approval for the fence installation is received, Magnolia Fence & Patio promptly contacts DigTess, the utility locating service, to identify any public utilities. DigTess typically responds within 48-72 hours and uses washable marking paint and flags to clearly indicate the location of these utilities. It’s important not to remove these markings as per state law.

To facilitate the process, a sign is placed in the client’s yard, usually near the water meter. This sign serves two purposes: it helps DigTess and installers identify the property, and it serves as a means to inform neighbors about the upcoming project. The sign often generates inquiries for new fences, which is a bonus but not the primary intention. At the project’s conclusion, the signs are collected, so please leave them out.

Within approximately one week of approval, the client receives a notification specifying the exact installation date.

A day or two prior to the scheduled installation, Magnolia Fence & Patio reaches out again to confirm project details.

The installation crew typically arrives on-site between 9-10 am, taking into account the project’s complexity and tasks to be completed. They take a midday lunch break and conclude their work at a reasonable hour. There is no rush or expectation for the crew to work excessive hours. The focus is on doing the job right the first time, avoiding the need for rework.
